Quote generator with client acceptance signature
Price the job, spell out the scope, set a deposit and a validity date. The client signs the acceptance line, and the signed quote becomes your agreement.
One job, six documents
A quote and an invoice are the same numbers at different moments. Step through a typical job to see which document you send when, and what it commits you to.
Quote
- Sent
- You → client
- When
- Scope agreed
- Money
- None yet
- What it means
- An offer. Once the client signs, it can form the contract.
What makes a freelance quote get signed
- Scope in plain words. What is included, what is not, and how many revision rounds. Vague scope is the top cause of disputes.
- Itemised price. Break the job into the pieces the client recognises, not one lump sum.
- A validity date. Prices and your availability change; 14–30 days is typical.
- Deposit and payment stages. If you need money upfront, say how much and when.
- A clear way to say yes. An acceptance signature line turns agreement into a document.

Questions
Is a signed quote a contract?
In many jurisdictions an accepted quote can form a binding contract if it has an offer, acceptance and agreed price. Include your key terms on the quote so they are part of what was accepted.
How can a client sign the quote?
Send the PDF and ask them to sign and return it, or hand them your phone or tablet: they can draw their signature in the Client acceptance box before you export.
How long should a quote be valid?
Most small businesses use 14 to 30 days. Shorter if your material costs move quickly.
Does the AI see my client details?
No. Only the job description you type into Writing help is sent, and only when you press a button.
