Why a packing slip earns its place
It lets the customer check the parcel in seconds, it tells your packer what goes in, and a line showing back-ordered items heads off the “you forgot something” email. Add the tracking number and a short note; many shops use it for a thank-you and returns instructions.

Does a packing slip include prices?
Normally no. That keeps gift orders private. Put prices on the invoice or sales receipt.
What is the difference between a packing slip and a packing list?
In everyday ecommerce they mean the same. In international freight, a packing list is a more detailed shipping document with weights and dimensions for customs and carriers.
